3 Bethlehem schools in lockdown due to police activity – Story

– Police in Northampton County say they are in a standoff with a man wanted in connection with a Wednesday night murder in Northampton County, according to reports. The standoff caused multiple local schools to be locked down.

According to reports,  a 61-year-old man was stopped by police Thursday morning after he was wanted in connection with the murder Wednesday.

Officers quickly surrounded the man’s vehicle in a neighborhood that was close to the school.

SKYFOX was over the scene of the standoff where multiple police cars could be seen surrounding a black pickup truck.

East Hills Middle School, Freedom High School, and Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School have been placed in lockdown in response to the call.

East Hills students heading to school on buses were taken to Liberty High School while police continue to investigate.
