8 SEC teams ranked in latest D1Baseball Top 25 (Week 10)

College baseball rankings are a hot topic among SEC teams as conference play is in full swing.

The league placed eight teams in the new D1Baseball.com Top 25, which was released on Monday. The league held firm after losing Auburn and Missouri from the rankings in the prior week.

Florida, which is the defending national champion, maintained the No. 1 spot in the rankings after Week 9 with a perfect 4-0 run that included a mid-week win against rival Florida State and a weekend sweep of Missouri. The Gators hold a 32-6 record on the season.

Arkansas maintained the No. 3 spot in the rankings after taking two of three in a weekend series against South Carolina. The Hogs are 27-10 on the year.

Kentucky jumped two spots from No. 8 to No. 6 thanks to a series win against Georgia. The Wildcats took two of three from the Bulldogs, dropping Georgia from No. 18 to No. 23 in the rankings in the process.

Ole Miss continued its fall from grace, dropping from No. 5 to No. 11 after dropping two of three in a series against Vanderbilt. The Rebels were ranked No. 3 as recently as two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, that series win against Ole Miss bumped Vanderbilt from No. 15 to No. 10 in the rankings.

Texas A&M continued its move back up the polls, jumping from No. 22 to No. 16. LSU also was a mover with a four-spot jump from No. 23 to No. 19.
