Alabama, Clemson remain national title favorites; Michigan’s chances fall

The latest college football national championship odds were released by Las Vegas sports book Bovada on Monday.

No. 1 Alabama is still the favorite to win its second national title in three years, as the Crimson Tide have the best odds at 2/1. Defending national champion Clemson is second with 11/2 odds, while USC (7/1) and Oklahoma (8/1) are close behind the Tigers.

Ohio State still has the best chances of any Big Ten team, despite a Week 2 loss to Oklahoma. The Buckeyes are listed with 17/2 odds following a win over Army. Penn State’s odds went up slightly following a dismantling of Georgia State. The Nittany Lions are listed with 12/1 odds to win it all as they enter Big Ten play.

Michigan, however, saw its odds take a hit this week. The Wolverines were listed with 14/1 odds after Week 2, but that number is down to 20/1 after Week 3. Jim Harbaugh’s team beat Air Force, 29-13 on Saturday.

Out of the Big Ten West, Wisconsin maintained its 22/1 title chances after a win at BYU.

NBC Sports’ Kevin McGuire posted the full list of Bovada odds on Twitter.
