EUGENE, Ore. – Veterans around the country received free dental services Saturday as part of Aspen Dental’s day of service.
Dentists and hygienists treated an estimated 200 veterans in Oregon.
All services were free at the clinics, ranging from cavity fills to extractions and even root canals.
Leaders said services in Eugene were the busiest for the county.
“There is a big segment of the society that can’t afford or has no access to dental care. Aspen Dental’s mission is to treat the under-served and as part of that we want to help our veterans out and we give them a day of service,” said Dr. Gorge McKee, an Aspen Dental dentist.
2017 marks the fourth year of the program and Aspen Dental said they don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
