Massachusetts is home to the nation’s top children’s hospital.
U.S. News and World Report released their rankings Tuesday and announced Boston Children’s Hospital was ranked No. 1 for children’s hospital in 2017-18.
In 10 ranked specialties, Boston Children’s ranked No. 1 in five categories, including gastroenterology, neurology, and orthopedics.
The hospital also ranked high in treatment for cancer, cardiology and heart surgery, and diabetes.
“Being ranked the No. 1 children’s hospital in the nation by U.S. News and World Report is a moment worth celebrating,“ Sandra Fenwick, president and CEO of Boston Children’s Hospital said. “It’s just one moment of millions that made a difference in the lives of our patients and families.”
Boston Children’s Hospital was ranked above 186 other facilities.
