BEL AIR, Md. (WBFF) – The campus of Harford Community College has been deemed safe, after the college sent out an urgent message Saturday afternoonabout an active shooter.
No shots were actually fired, confirmed HCC spokesperson Nancy Dysard and the Harford County Sheriff’s Office. A man in dark clothing was seen carrying a rifle.
Officials will continue searching buildings and investigating.
The college originally warned people to shelter in place and follow orders from school officials and law enforcement.
