College basketball: Meet Arizona State freshman Romello White

Arizona State has arguably been the biggest surprise in the first month and a half of the college basketball season. The 10-0 Sun Devils are one of the four remaining undefeated teams in the country and freshman Romello White is a big reason why.

The 6-8 redshirt freshman forward from Suwanee, Ga., is averaging 15.7 points and 9.0 rebounds while shooting a blistering 69 percent from the field, helping Arizona State’s offense become one of the most efficient in the country. He recorded three double-doubles in his first eight games and he has reached the free throw line at least nine times in a game on four occasions.

In just his second collegiate game, he scored a career-high 25 points on 10-of-12 shooting against Northern Arizona.
