College Game Day and all things NCAA football are just around the corner, and oddsmakers are weighing in on what programs are poised to go the distance.
The Clemson Tigers may have topped the Alabama Crimson Tide 35-31 in the 2017 Championship — dubbed one of the best come-back endings to any sports game in history — but Nick Saban’s squad enters their season at the top of Bovada’s list with better odds than any other program.

College football odds: Who has the best shot at 2018 Championship?
CBS Sports points to Alabama’s outstanding talent pool this year as reasoning for their high ranking, and note it is perhaps only matched by Urban Meyer and Ohio State. Other top-projected teams include Florida State, Oklahoma and Penn State.
This will be the first start of a season for Alabama without Lane Kiffin at the offensive coordinator helm since 2013 — and Brian Daboll’s transition into the role will be a sideline situation to eye as the season kicks off. With Jalen Hurts at QB, the monster SEC team may be poised to roll right into the National Championship, but coaches like James Franklin of Penn State and Lincoln Riley of Oklahoma will likely give Saban a run for his money as the fall progresses.
College football play kicks off Sept. 2.
