Days after his White House exit former Donald Trump aide Sebastian Gorka says he intends to return to Breitbart News, according to Politico.
His role at the controversial publication has yet to be defined, though he previously served as their national security editor.
“I will be working with you, with Steve (Bannon), with the Breitbart crew,” Gorka revealed during an interview with Breitbart Washington editor Matt Boyle on SirusXM.
He also said during their chat that he doesn’t plan to reclaim his former title, ousting his predecessor.
In the interview Gorka stood by previous claims that he resigned from his White House position and was not fired.
He first alleged that he made the decision to leave his post in a resignation letter published by The Federalist. Gorka wrote that “forces that do not support that MAGA promise are – for now – ascendant within the White House.”
The White House refuted that in a statement issued on Friday.
“Sebastian Gorka did not resign, but I can confirm he no longer works at the White House,” an official told reporters according to CNN.
Gorka is the 12th member of the Trump administration to leave or be fired.
