Georgia Southern University lets go of three coaches

WJCL News has confirmed that Georgia Southern University has let go of three coaches. This news comes after the university hired Chad Lunsford to be the Eagles’ next head coach last month.

Former Eagles offensive coordinator Bryan Cook has been let go, after being in Statesboro for one year following a stint with Georgia Tech as the quarterbacks and B-backs coach.

In addition, Georgia Southern parted ways with former defensive coordinator Lorenzo “Zo” Costantini, who helped coach the program for the last two years. He was previously the defensive line coach for the University of Central Florida.

Georgia Southern also let go strength and conditioning coach Dwayne Chandler, who joined the Eagles’ staff in January of 2017.
