Hundreds walk to help with heart disease and stroke.

Regional Health hosted the 25th Annual Black Hills Heart Walk.

A one and three mile walk helped participants get active in preventing heart disease. The walk brings individuals and teams together with some having a direct connection to heart disease and stroke.
Participants learned more about the two and much more.

Thomas Worsley, Vice President of Regional Health says, “Today you’ll see people jogging, walking, walking with their children, with their pets. It’s really just an opportunity to demonstrate how important physical fitness is as a part of a heart healthy lifestyle. What is important to remember with this event is that the funds are raised here stay in South Dakota, even though the American heart us a national organization, we fund things specifically in this region.”

All of the funds raised today will support the mission of the American Heart Association in South Dakota.
