It’s one of the most highly anticipated parties of the summer, and it happened tonight at Mercyhurst University.
It’s the annual 501, an event to support the Mercyhurst Institute for Arts and Culture. Around 250 people were treated to different performances.
The President of Mercyhurst University says this is an important event because it helps support programs at the university.
“We’re the only university in the region that presents top notch performances from around the globe to come to Erie and available for our citizens, and this event supports that program,” said Mercyhurt University President Michael Victor.
Those at tonight’s event got season tickets to some of the upcoming performances that include Bernadette Peters, the one woman show with Lilly Tomlin and American author and storyteller, Garrison Keeler.
