Police respond to stabbing in University District

SEATTLE – Seattle police responded to reports of a stabbing around 2:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon at University Way NE and NE 42nd Street in the University District. 

Seattle police officers were putting pressure on the wound, but the incident did not sound life threatening.

The victim is being transported to Harborview Medical Center. 

The incident occurred at the 48th annual University District Street Fair that brings “together the best in local arts and crafts, music, and food” according to the event website.

KIRO 7 is working to find more information on a potential suspect.
