ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) – A hostile gunman remains at large after shooting a security officer at St. Catherine University Tuesday night around 9:30 p.m., according to a police release.
The St. Paul Police Department is investigating the incident, which happened on the 2000 block of Randolph Avenue.
Police said the victim knew the shooter and was struck in the shoulder after confronting them. The victim called police to report the incident himself, and is expected to survive.
The university is advising everyone in the area to stay indoors while police search for the suspect.
