English actor Charlie Heaton, known for his role in “Stranger Things,” was barred from entering the U.S. after he was found with cocaine at the Los Angeles International Airport.
Heaton allegedly admitted to using drugs after he was found with traces of cocaine upon his arrival in California, law enforcement officials told The Hollywood Reporter.
“Foreign nationals may be inadmissible due to the commission of a crime involving drug possession,” according to Jaime Ruiz of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The 23-year-old, who was reportedly sent back to the UK, missed the Netflix show’s season two premiere party on Thursday night, as his co-stars Millie Bobby Brown and Winona Ryder celebrated the release.
Heaton plays Jonathan Byers, the older brother of Will Byers, who disappears from the fictional town of Hawkins, Ind., setting off a search as residents encounter supernatural events.
