A search for a monkey who bit a young girl Friday at Buc-ee’s could be coming to a close, police said Tuesday.
Police said Tuesday they have leads on the owner and the monkey,who both live in the area.
On Monday, police and Terrell animal control officials asked for help identifying the two after the biting incident on Friday.
Police released a photograph Monday from store surveillance camera of the monkey and its owner as they walked through Buc-ee’s, 506 Interstate 20.
The monkey bit the young girl about 3:45 p.m. Friday.
The owner and the monkey left the store and authorities were trying to determine whether the monkey had all its shots.
