University concert choir comes to Holy Family | Local News

AMESBURY — The University of Mount Union Concert Choir, under the direction of Grant W. Cook III, will perform at Holy Family Parish on May 15 at 7:30 p.m.

The performance, “Why We Sing …,” is free and open to the public and will include works by Peter Angelea, Richard Burchard Jacob Narverud and Dwight Bigler.

One of the oldest college choirs in the United States, the University of Mount Union Concert Choir traces its roots to 1896. The concert choir performs annually throughout the continental United States and undertakes an international tour every four years.

The University of Mount Union is also the alma mater of Holy Family Parish’s pastor, the Rev. Scott Euvrard, who sang in the choir himself.
